Experience

Purdue Aerial Robotics Team

R&D, Mechanisms/Control Surfaces
August 2026 – Present
  • Design and analyze aircraft control surfaces for an autonomous fixed-wing aircraft, calculating aerodynamic loads in flight and translating those forces into structural requirements for reliable actuation and stability
  • Optimize control-surface designs for minimum weight and maximum load capacity by evaluating geometry, hollow versus filled structures, and material selection to balance strength, stiffness, and overall flight performance
  • Apply aerodynamics, CAD, and structural analysis to develop lightweight mechanisms and control-surface components that meet mission loads while keeping the airframe as efficient as possible

Illinois Aviation Museum @ Clow International Airport

Aircraft Preservation Volunteer
June 2022 – June 2026
  • Collaborated on crafting authentic replicas of historical World War II aircraft, enriching museum exhibits with detailed historical accuracy
  • Supported the refurbishment of vintage aircraft, preparing them for display in the museum to showcase aviation heritage
  • Spearheaded educational stations at STEM events, educating young children on aviation concepts and aircraft functionality
